When: Wednesdays, 5 p.m. and Saturdays, 5 p.m. Continues through July 28 2012
The Great Lakes Science Center might not be the first Cleveland institution that comes to mind when you’re thinking “rock and roll.” But that might change with tonight’s Omnimax screening of All Access, a behind-the-scenes look at 15 concerts by artists ranging from Sting to Al Green and Carlos Santana. “There are very few people who only like one kind of music,” says Dante Centuori, director for creative productions at the Science Center, “so why not a film that shows all the different genres?” Besides the insiders’ look at backstage happenings, the concert footage should sound pretty good, too: The theater boasts a 2,000-watt sound system, which, as Centuori points out “was the reason that sound systems were created in the first place: to listen to rock ’n’ roll.” The film screens today at 5 p.m. Additional screenings are set every Wednesday and Saturday in July. Adult tix are $11.66, and less for students and seniors.
