The limited number of local institutions of higher education invited/selected for this show exemplifies Zygote's long-standing nepotistic bent. The reviewer (more of a cheerleader than a critic) should see through these immature curatorial tendencies.

Trivisonno is a star of CLEVELAND radio. That's CLEVELAND. He could no more make it nationally (e.g. Limbaugh, Stern, Beck) than I could. His appeal is limited to the type that still listen to CLEVELAND radio (just read the comments on any story at cleveland.com to see the type).

I catch him when I tune in to the news. Once in a (great) while, I hear a whisper of emerging intelligent thought and honesty that keeps me interested for a few extra minutes. But it never lasts, and it's clear from this story that Trivisonno has simply been slowly conforming over the years to the conservative babble that has made talk radio popular again across the nation. It seems that "Triv" just doesn't have what it really takes to go national.

Yes, I listen (very) occasionally, but I refuse to patronize the show's sponsors (Window Nation, Nature Stone, ...) until they sponsor a program that CELEBRATES intelligence rather than the lack of it.

Whatever you do, you've just GOT to get over to that realneo blog. It's freakin' HILLARIOUS! If the nerds from Buffy the Vampire Slayer ever started a blog, it would look just like realneo. Check it out!
