Meet the band: Chris Bianchi (vocals); Johnny Burke (guitar/vocals); Glenn "Glizzy" Moore (guitar); Chad Lundgren (bass); Nick Borukhovsky (drums).
In the Beginning: The band came together in 2006. "I don't remember the exact time frame but we all played in local bands on the scene," says Bianchi. "We meshed well together." In its second week, the band went into the studio and started recording. The members in the band now have been together for about four years.
On Running a Label: The band has released its last two albums on its own In Demand Records. The line-up is rather eclectic and includes the dance artist Challenger! as well as the pop/rock act Hit the Ground Running. "I'm looking for really good hard-working people who have a passion and drive," says Bianchi when asked about the label. "We want to make the label diverse and help bands grow."
Why You Should Hear Them: Last year's self-titled effort featured the usual quotient of heavy guitars and snarling vocals, but songs such as "Demons" had more melodic moments. "We have always had a nice touch of melodicism but we wanted to mix in other elements too," says Bianchi. "I don't like to put a category per se to our music. I consider us heavy metal. We spawned out of the metalcore scene and were also into the more melodic bands like Korn and Metallica." Look for a new EP before the year's up.
