Meet the band: Ron McNeil (vocals), Ardy Sarraf (vocals, bass), Gavin Pring (vocals, guitar), Erik Fidel (drums).
In the Beginning: Pring, who now lives in North Ridgeville, auditioned for a role with the Beatles tribute group some 10 years ago when it was based in Las Vegas. Since that time, the band has expanded into two "teams," though Pring still performs with the guys who originally played John and Paul. The upcoming show at Hard Rock Live will mark the first time the group has performed in Northeast Ohio, though Pring did play solo once in 2003 at a local Abbey Road on the River. "This is the first gig I've driven to in a long time," he says with a laugh, adding that he usually flies to shows.
On looking like george harrison: Ever since he was a kid, Pring, who is originally from Liverpool, has looked like Harrison. And he embraced the look too. "John is moody and Paul looks like a pretty boy," he says. "George was much cooler. A couple of years later, there was a documentary about Pete Best and I auditioned for it and got a part playing Harrison." He's been imitating Harrison ever since.
Why you should hear them: Recently profiled in a PBS show, the band plays spot-on renditions of everything from "Yesterday" to "Can't Buy Me Love." "We do it all," Pringe says. "Our regular show is like the Beatlemania show. You go from Ed Sullivan to Sgt. Pepper. We only have four people and we do 'Day in the Life' and 'Strawberry Fields Forever.' where you can hear them: thefabfour.com
