We may never know all the secrets to crafting the perfect doughnut, but thanks to the crew at Jack Frost, we don’t need to. Judging by the crowds that lined up to welcome them back after six months of limbo while they rebuilt their store, this Old Brooklyn doughnut shop is a cherished neighborhood asset. After close to 80 years, business still thrives, thanks to old-fashioned values that revolve around authentic recipes, daily from-scratch production, and homemade creams, icings and glazes. Recent advances like credit card readers (no longer cash only!) mean that we no longer have to ransack our cars in search of change to score a few extra treats.
