Last year, Jake Kelly released Fliers: 2000-2015, a self-published book featuring more than 400 black-and-white local concert posters. Having produced more than 1,000 fliers since 2000, Kelly has become the most prolific concert poster designer currently working in the region. Kelly began designing fliers for bands in high school, and later for concerts while living at the legendary underground music venue, Speak in Tongues. He began illustrating fliers professionally in 2000 for both the Grog Shop and Beachland Ballroom & Tavern. In addition to concert posters, Kelly has produced large-scale murals for the Grog Shop, Melt Bar & Grilled and Blue Arrow Records, and co-created the indie comic, The Lake Erie Monster, with his friend, high-school classmate, and Scene's "Best Illustrator," John G.
