For the second consecutive year, you voted the talented Frank Oriti as "Best Painter." Oriti's unique, photorealistic portraits of friends and family have earned him well deserved acclaim from both near and far. A graduate of both Ohio University (MFA, 2008) and Bowling Green (BFA, 2006), Oriti developed his work ethic in local steel mills. A recipient of the Cleveland Arts Prize Emerging Artist Award and Ohio Arts Council Excellence Award, his work has been featured in the New York Times. Last year, he made front page headlines in London after his painting, "Clarity," was almost stolen from the prestigious BP Portrait Exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery (details are still vague). You can meet Frank and view his latest work during Third Fridays at his studio on the third floor of 78th Street Studios, in Suite 301.
