It's Sunday night, and all the decent people have already gone to bed or are watching prestige TV or meal prepping for the week. This is usually about the time when someone in your reckless friend group suggests you head to karaoke. And at that point, karaoke always seems like a good idea, especially if you end up at Flying Monkey in Tremont. It doesn't matter if you're blessed with Whitney Houston-level pipes or can barely carry a tune, it's all good. It's all about going up there and making your friends laugh, dance and sing along to whatever terrible power ballad you just selected anyway. Quit keeping your performances to yourself in the shower or car and share your talent with some friends and strangers.
