The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum has just announced more details regarding the 18th Annual Music Masters Series that’s slated to take place Oct. 21-26. The Oct. 26th tribute concert that takes place at the PlayhouseSquare will feature Rock Hall inductee Ian McLagan, Bernard Fowler, Bobby Keys, Trevor Lawrence, Steve Madaio, Waddy Wachtel and Willie Weeks to perform. The Rock Hall has added singers Merry Clayton and Sarah Dash to the line-up.
The week-long tribute begins on Oct. 22 with an appearance by Buffalo Tom singer Bill Janovitz, who’ll read from his book about the Stones at Cuyahoga Community College’s Tommy LiPuma Center for Creative Arts in the Black Box Theater. Other highlights: a Songwriters to Soundmen with Steve Jordan, Bobby Keys and Steve Madaio (Oct. 23); a keynote lecture by Alan Light, the former editor of Spin and Vibe (Oct. 24); and a day-long conference featuring film screenings and interviews (Oct. 26). Tickets for the gala concert are already on sale (and reportedly going fast). Rock Hall Members can purchase tickets to the other events starting at 10 a.m. on Monday.
