Even in death, this jackass finds ways of making terrible headlines.

Ariel Castro's death may not have been a suicide, according to a state report released this morning. In fact, state officials may be suspecting auto-erotic asphyxiation, as Castro was found with his pants and underwear slung around his ankles in mid-air. "The relevance of this finding is unclear," according to the report, which goes on to specifically cite the possibility of auto-erotic asphyxiation.

There was no suicide note in the cell.

On top of that, the two prison guards in charge of checking in on the monster kinda bailed on their jobs that night. They failed to check in at least eight times in the run-up to Castro's death. And then they falsified the prison logs to show that they did perform the checks. Guards also seemed to be using fire escape doors as shortcuts between holding areas.

Prior to his death, Castro complained about verbal harassment from the other inmates and worried that someone was poisoning his food. After flushing his food down the toilet, Castro would complain that not eating was giving him health problems.
