No real surprises on the list of nominees for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. Prog rockers Yes were nominated for the first time but that shouldn't come as a shock. The band stopped at the Rock Hall this summer when it came through town and several Rock Hall execs were spotted at the band's Cain Park concert. The list includes the usual eclectic mix of music, including everything from pop (Linda Ronstadt) to grunge (Nirvana) and hip-hop (LL Cool J and N.W.A.). Peter Gabriel, Cat Stevens, the Replacements, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Chic, Deep Purple, Hall and Oates, KISS, the Meters, Link Wray and the Zombies round out the list. The ceremony takes place in New York in April.
