Are you looking for some new furniture? Do you enjoy owning pieces of history? If you answered yes to one or both of those questions, you'll want to check out this sale.
Cuyahoga County is selling furniture, office supplies and other debris left in the currently vacant administration building. According to Cleveland.com, there is a rather large chance of scoring a relic of the Jimmy DiMora and Frank Russo corruption scandal.
However, the scope of the scandal and the size of Russo's staff inflate the probability that any given item had a part in the scandal. Secret memos could have laid on that desk, or been destroyed in that shredder. Frank Russo himself could have perched in that chair for a moment.
Matt Carroll, County Executive Ed FitzGerald's chief of staff, claims that "we don’t even know what was whose
" because all the furniture was shuffled around in the 2010 move. So, if you were to buy something and embellish its history a little, who could refute the story?
The furniture sale is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 at the administration building located at Ontario Road and Lakeside Drive.
