The 9th annual Dia de Muertos celebration took place yesterday at the Gordon Square Arts District; local artists displayed their wares and area shops offered specials and discounts to coincide with the event. A number of altars were set up in inside Cleveland Public Theatre where there was also a cemetery installation featuring Day of the Dead-like gravestones. One highlight: the Skulls and Skeletons parade featuring a procession of puppets and people that walked down Detroit Avenue for several blocks. Here area few photos from the event.
