More than 8,000 LP vinyl records (and more than 80,000 books will be for sale this weekend as Cleveland State University hosts its annual Book Sale in Adelbert Gym. Donated by a private collector, the vinyl collection includes classical, comedy, country, folk, jazz, marches, movies-television-theater, rock ’n roll and more. A used bookstore that recently closed has donated 5,000 books. A special donation of books on ancient Rome and Greece comes courtesy of a retired distinguished Case Western Reserve art historian, and the Cleveland Museum of Art donated a wide variety of art books and exhibition catalogs from its library. There will be a “booktique” table that will showcase rare and signed first-edition books in this year’s donations. With a $20 admission fee, early-bird shoppers can browse and buy from 10 a.m. to noon today, before the admission-free public event begins at noon. The sale continues with special bargains from noon to 5 p.m. tomorrow, from noon to 5 p.m. on Monday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, when books are $5 per box.
