Desde Allá (From Afar), a Latin American film, focuses on a middle-aged gay man who surveys the streets of Caracas looking for younger, working class guys to take home, so he can look at them. A young man he picks up one day, however, causes his way of life to change dramatically. The movie won top honors at last year’s Venice International Film Festival. It screens at 8:40 tonight and at 5 p.m. on Saturday at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque. Tickets are $10, $7 for Cinematheque members. (Shively)
