Downtown@Dusk

It’s rare to see talented original artists at local free outdoor concerts anymore, so when it happens you have to jump at the opportunity. Tonight at 6:30, the Speedbumps will perform on the Akron Art Museum’s terrace for the Downtown@Dusk summer concert series. Erik Urycki fronts the band that features honest songwriting and relatable, relaxing lyrics. The group has played alongside Andrew Bird, G-Love, Amos Lee and local talent such as Jessica Lea Mayfield. The band’s 2010 release The Moon Is Down shows off its approachable front-porch acoustic style and relatable lyrics that suck you in with overwhelming nostalgia for simpler times. (William Hoffman)
