Neighborhood Connections offers small grants from $500 to $5,000 twice a year to groups of residents in Cleveland and East Cleveland for projects that improve the quality of life in their communities. If you’d like more information before February’s next deadline, attend Neighborhood Connections upcoming Grantseekers Workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Any resident-led or community group in Cleveland or East Cleveland may apply, even if they are not officially recognized as a nonprofit organization. However, applicants without nonprofit status must have a fiscal agent. Further, each grant must be matched dollar-for-dollar, but the match may be in cash, volunteer labor or donated goods or services. Learn much more about the guidelines, application process and more at Wednesday’s workshop. Can’t’ attend Wednesday? Metro West hosts another Grantseekers Workshop at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17. These workshops are free and open to the public. (Josh Usmani) 5000 Euclid Ave. Suite 310, 216-229-8824, neighborhoodgrants.org.
