Luminosity at Cedar Point

You can only ride roller coasters for so long before you want to move on to something else. Now, you don’t have to leave Cedar Point to find that change of pace. Luminosity, an interactive light show, takes you on a journey through land, water, and space every evening at dust in the Celebration Plaza in front of the Iron Dragon coaster. Like a family-friendly rave, the show features loud music, dancers, aerialists, and — of course — a bajillion glow sticks. The crowd is invited to dance, sing, and party on because the goal is “to make everyone glow,” says Annie Zelm, the park’s spokewoman. “We brought Luminosity together as a way of really reenergizing the crowds, and to create a new energy in the park at night.” After the show, a DJ will keep people dancing all night long. The show is included in the price of your park admission. Cedar Point is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Friday in July. On Saturdays, hours extend until midnight. Adult admission is $44.99 online and $51.99 at the gate.
