If you haven’t yet read Alissa Nutting’s much-acclaimed summer smash hit novel Tampa about a female middle school teacher who preys on her students (sexually), you can hear her read a selection this evening at the Euclid Public Library. Nutting, believe it or not, appears in the fiction section of this very issue. She’s a rousing reader — ironically enough, she’s got a reading persona so dry it almost peels — but I’ll bet you $100 that after 10 minutes of hearing her, you’ll be buying her book and begging her to sign it. She’s an assistant professor at John Carroll and a feline-loving Lakewood resident. What’s not to like? Reading starts at 7 p.m. It’s free and open to the public.
