Ragged Glory/ Ball and Chain/Missin’ Link/Threadfinger/The Michael Weber Show/Swamps of Jersey’s Howard Micenmacher
When: Sat., May 18, 6 p.m. 2013
We’re always saddened to hear when a local musician is suffering from a terrible disease. It helps, then, when someone from the local scene can put together a benefit like tonight’s concert designed to raise money for Jeff Kendigh, who’s played bass player for the Neil Young tribute act Ragged Glory for the last 15 years. Late last year, he was diagnosed with leukemia and needs blood transfusions every two weeks to strengthen his system. He’s now at the point where he needs a bone marrow transplant. Local acts Ragged Glory, Ball and Chain, Missin’ Link, Threadfinger, the Michael Weber Show and Swamps of Jersey’s Howard Micenmacher are all slated to play. The concert begins at 6 p.m. and tickets are $10. Raffle prizes will be offered all night long. (Jeff Niesel)
