I am only so sorry that I broke my humorous bone and missed this tribute, Funny back around the early 80's I had a broken arm and Chuck pulled me up on stage to dance and signed my cast. I danced with him on stage and a few other girls joined us and we were mentioned in the Scene magazine! God bless Chuck Berry! Long live Rock N Roll!
I saw Todd back in the World Series of Rock back in 1977,I think it was 1977. Wow,what a wonderful memory! Everyone held up their bics as Todd sang One Last Victory,it was a moment I will never forget. I remember Southside Jonny and J. Geils being there also, I was so happy to be a part of it all. I think Utopia was the best thing to come to Cleveland back then and look forward to the show Saturday!!! We all would love to relive the best parts of our youth, thankyou Todd and members of Utopia for coming back after 35 years!!!!
I commend Mr. Brown for being able to turn his life around, I hope his prayers are answered. I wish more people in prison wanted to turn their life around. It is so hard to trust now a days ,you can't blame employers for not having total trust in this new endeavor. My mother gave trust to a next door neighbor to do yard work and only knew him a few months before she was murdered. Tim Sheline is only in prison for having my moms credit cards underneathe the floor matt of the rental car of my moms and using those after her death while pretending to be a caring neighbor.My mom trusted much too easily and look where it got her. Tim Sheline has a 34 year criminal past which includes arson and attacking an officer in Colorado which he did 10 yrs for and came to live with his brother Scott during the summer of 2007 when my mom was murdered and her head and home set afire to cover up evidence. Tim will be out in March of 2012 and with his past does not deserve to be out of prison. He has no desire to be rehabilitated. Our family needs justice for our mom and Tim does not deserve his freedom. Tim is not in jail for her murder, but we know in our hearts he is guilty even though the fire protected him and his brother. How can you expect to put peoples lives in danger with these convicts when you let people like Tim out into society? Trust does not come so easy, it has to be earned. We need a better system in place. Too many victims killed by ex-cons who never had a desire to be rehabilitated. Sue Mazzone Strongsville
My mom grew up on East 130th back in the 50's and My Uncle lived there up on North Taylor Rd all the way up to the 90's. He lived his whole life there and we were always going out to the East Side. I loved going with my mom out there, it was awesome,still have cousins in Mayfield Hts. My dad was from the west side West 130th is where he grew up and moved to Cleminshaw and attended John Marshall before joining the Marines. When they married and my mom had my sister Cheryl,my grandparents moved to Lakewood and we meshed lives betwen the East Side and West Side as my Grandma's sister lived out off of North Taylor in Cleveland Hts. I am proud to know both sides and thanks to my Unlce John,he has kept the 2 sides together. I would have to write a book about my experience if anyone cares to read. It will be called A Girl named Sue in honor of Johnny Cash and should be available when I get my life back as I am raising a 10 and 14 yr old and am 50 working at Continental Airlines full time and then some. Very cool, love those days. I was 18 and dancing my ass off at the Dixie Electric Company and miss those glory days!! We need to dance more and get off our ass from all these sports bars!! I am 50 now and proud to have grown up with the best of Rock and Roll!!!
