Swings and Things

Michael Brantley has now played in what will likely be the first of many MLB All-Star games. With any luck, he’ll enjoy the same success in the second half of the season that he enjoyed in the first. He’ll lead the Tribe tonight as they return to Progressive Field against the Seattle Mariners for a three-game series. The Mariners entered All-Star weekend third in the AL West and 2nd in the AL Wild Card Hunt. Behind the lights-out pitching of Felix Hernandez and the consistent bats of Robinson Cano and Kyle Seager, they’ve been a fun team to watch in 2014. The Indians’ offense will have to get things going early tonight at 7:05 tomorrow at 7:05 and Thursday at 7:05. Tickets start at $14. (Allard)
