The Sandalwood Box follows the story of student Marsha Gates, who has lost her voice to the great Unseen. On her way to speech therapy, she becomes entangled with Professor Claudia Marshall, a collector of catastrophes. This surreal short explores trauma and violence inside a fantastical world that is at once familiar and strange. All performances will also include a showing of Mac Wellman’s Bitter Bierce, directed by Christopher Johnston and produced by Playwrights Local. The Sandalwood Box will be performed both at Baldwin Wallace University and Cleveland State University,
