C-Notes could tell you why you need to see this band this weekend. But wouldn't you appreciate the chance to hear it straight from the musicians?

Band: Joe's Garage

Website: www.myspace.com/joe39sgarage

Hometown: Cleveland

Sounds like:
"Pop rock with a bit of classic rock influence. R.E.M. meets Dire Straits meets Counting Crows with a touch of Van Morrison and Springsteen thrown in there."

Fun fact: "Were currently finishing songs for our follow-up record to Lost in Overdale, our first release. Were getting great press and airplay locally. We just entered into a licensing agreement with SWV Records, for representation of the record. They are currently presenting it worldwide, for placement in film, TV advertising, videogaming and other projects that suit our music. Mark Kindler of Joe's Garage is the president of the Ohio Roller Coaster Association and is a complete freak about roller coasters."

Playing: 9:30 p.m. Brothers Lounge (11609 Detroit Ave.) Saturday, May 23rd. Opening for Deja Voodo.

Why You Need to See Them: "Because it's all about quality songwriting and strong melodies. We're fresh, original, and you will be humming the tunes on your way out and the next morning!" —Joe Romito, guitarist/vocalist
