Bun B, the still-alive half of rap duo UGK, is coming to town on Friday to perform with Gel, a UGK protégé and Cleveland native.
Gel made some noise a few years back with "Shoulder Work." A few months ago, he released the UGK Records' First Midwest Solo Artist mixtape, which included rhymes by the Houston-bred Bun B.
Bun B and Gel will perform at Metropolis Nightclub. No word on time yet, but if it's anything like other hip-hop shows, expect the pair to hit the stage around 1:45 a.m. and perform a couple songs before heading off to some afterparty you're not invited to. —Michael Gallucci
