Dave Brewer has been known for more than 30 years as one of the area’s most dedicated percussion educators — holding classes, clinics, workshops and drum circles under the banner of “Creative Drumming.”

Every year, he sponsors a “Rhythm Reunion,” where he invites all his students — past, present and prospective. He showcases his best students, invites local professionals to perform and hosts a participatory jam/finale for which he passes percussion instruments out to anyone in the crowd who wants to join in.

This year’s Rhythm Reunion takes place at 3 p.m. Sunday at Wilbert’s.

Parlormuse, Ako-Sitikku, the Doug Johns Duo and Spice are the pros lined up to play. Admission is $5; kids under 12 are free. You can find more info here or by calling 440.843.2899. —Anastasia Pantsios
