This is the part of C-Notes where we let those who make the music do the talkin'.
Band: 2 Men and a Campfire
Sounds Like: "A mixture of Martin Rosewood and Gibson Maple strumming some bronze steel strings over a hickory campfire, throw in a hillbilly version of Tom Petty playing acoustics with Leo Kottke on
Fun Fact: "Brandi Carlile insisted that we autograph a copy of our mastered CD recently so she can say she knew us when. And we were both born in West Virginia and have a common bond to the name Willis. And even the Governor of W. VA likes our music. (We have the letter to prove it.) Wow!"
Playing: CD-release party for I Hate Dead Rabbits tonight at 7 p.m. at the world famous Agora Ballroom, as well as a bunch of other places (check our website for details!)
Why You Should See Them: "Because in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we occasionally need to relax and unwind around the campfire with some down-to-earth acoustic music performed by two talented singer-songwriters that relate to our Cleveland existence. Music that you would enjoy, and not be afraid to let our mom, dad or our kids hear. We are here to stay, so you may as well get it over with and come and see us perform our trademarked "Americoustic" show." —Dale Godbey, guitar, vocals, harmonica
