The performer known as Unknown Hinson will deny any connection to cartoon Squidbillies, but don’t believe it — when he’s not touring as his ’50s-throwback alter ego, he’s the voice of Early Cuyler on the Adult Swim show.
And when he is in character, the self-declared “chart-topping king of love” and “king of country western troubadours” leads a rockabilly trio through a set of tips tunes like “Lingerie,” “BarbieQ” and “Torture Town.”
Ask him nice, and he’ll give some pointers on how to talk your significant other into swinging. —D.X. Ferris
