If you’re just hanging out tonight with nothing particular to do, why don’t you do just that at indie record store Music Saves?
Tomorrow night is the store’s last Alley Cat Friday of the season, starting at 7 p.m. and going on until whenever. It’s a monthly event the store’s been holding since June on the first Friday of each month, an informal hang where musicians are invited to bring their instruments and play as the mood strikes them.
Tonight, Afternoon Naps’ Tom and Leia will play at 8:30. It’s an extra-special occasion because the store will also be celebrating store co-owner Melanie Hershberger’s 33rd birthday.
As the sharp poster by John G (which features Melanie and store cat Vinyl inside an oversized donut with sprinkles) promises “There will be donuts. There will be beer.”
