Mr. Gnome's “Spain” Video Online

by

Cleveland duo Mr. Gnome has posted a video for “Spain,” the first track from its new album, Heave Yer Skeleton. Check it out above. The song builds verrrrrry slowly, but it’s going somewhere. Drummer Sam Meister directed and edited the low-budget production, which was filmed in the band’s Cleveland garage.

“The video was Sam's idea,” explains singer Nicole Barille. “He based the look on glow worm caves.”

Though the group let go of some CDs at a Halloween concert, the album won’t technically be released until December 18 at the Beachland Tavern. The show starts at 9 p.m.; tickets are $7. The album is a little bit of a departure, but once you warm up to it, it’ll get its hooks in deep.

Until then, you can check out two other new tracks, the downbeat “Slow Side” and engrossing “Vampires,” at the band’s MySpace page. —D.X. Ferris
