The Fuzzy Stones, the locally based animated band that plays kids music for rock fans of all ages, has partnered with University Hospitals/Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospitals for a promotion involving sales of its CD Get it Together, a collection of 11 original tunes about favorite colors (“Blue”) and puppy love (“Little Red Dot”).
Half the proceeds of all CD and MP3 sales will go toward benefiting Rainbow Babies, an organization that provides treatment for children with heart disease, cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease and endocrine and metabolic disorders.
“We are very excited to be able to combine our passion for music with our desire to do something positive for people in our community, especially kids,” says keyboardist Bradley “Ant Man Bee” Robinson. “The research and innovation that Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital applies to saving and improving the lives of children and their families is certainly worthy of any contribution we can make, however small, and we're extremely proud that they saw the potential of this promotion to raise funds for their important work.”
You can order the disc, which sounds like a head-spinning cross between the Flaming Lips and the Beatles, here. —Jeff Niesel
