What Restraining Order?

Legal question for all the readers out there who know this stuff: Let's say, hypothetically of course, someone got a restraining order to stay away from a certain actress who starred in Elf.

Let's say (hypothetically again) that the restraining order was issued hundreds of miles away — like, say, in Austin.

And let's say that actress is coming to Cleveland with her group sometime in June.

Does that person have to stay away from her when she's here?

Like, can I — I mean, this person — follow her around town? Or, you know, would that restraining order still be valid?

Just wondering, because She & Him (which includes Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward) are coming to House of Blues on June 10, and I know someone who has a super-huge crush on Zooey.

Just wondering. —Michael Gallucci (follow me on Twitter @mgallucci)
