What Do Andrew WK, a Restraining Order and Cleveland Have in Common?

C-Notes fave Andrew WK recently posted something on The Guardian's music blog about the inspiration for his song "My Destiny." It has to do with a high-school crush, a restraining order and Cleveland.

The girl actually took out a juvenile restraining order (really? Who knew there was such a thing?) against Andrew, who stayed far, far away from her.

Fast-forward to years later and Andrew WK is a semi-famous rock star, on the road generating buzz. During a tour stop in Cleveland, rumors begin to swirl that the girl would be at the show (she moved to Cleveland to go to art school here).

Long story short: The girl stops by to see Andrew, he passes out from the anxiety and never sees her again.

But the long story is much better. You can read it here. —Michael Gallucci (follow me on Twitter @mgallucci)
