The organizers of the LaCave reunion concerts, taking place at Wilbert’s on June 25 and 26, will host their fifth and possibly final monthly fundraising hootenanny at the Unitarian Universalist Societyfrom 5-8 p.m. on Sunday.

Local folksinger Gusti, an almost 50-year veteran of the area music scene, will lead the music, joined by David Budin, Noah Budin, and Charlie and Celia Lewis.

The $5 admission includes a dinner with three types of chili (including vegan).

The organizers may host another event in early June, if they feel up to it in the final days of planning for the concerts themselves.

LaCave was a major club-concert venue in the ’60s. Located on Euclid Avenue near East 105th Street, it opened in 1962 and closed in 1969.

In that time, it evolved from hosting the top names of the early ’60s folk boom, like Judy Collins and Buffy Sainte-Marie, to presenting groundbreaking late ’60s rock groups like the Velvet Underground and Procol Harum.

The June 25 concert will be headlined by Josh White Jr., whose father was the first artist to headline LaCave in 1962.

The June 26 show will feature Brewer & Shipley and Carolyn Hester.
