When: Sat., Sept. 20, 8 a.m.-3:45 p.m. 2014
September 20, 2014 is the 19th Annual Head of the Cuyahoga regatta -- the toughest rowing course in the country. Scholastic, college and adult teams -- 42 clubs in all -- will be competing on the 4,800 meter Cuyahoga River course (2.98 miles). There is great viewing of all races from the West 3rd Street Bridge, along the Scranton Peninsula Towpath Trail, the Carter Road Bridge and of course Rivergate Park. Along with the finish line, Rivergate Park will have vendors, food trucks, music, a beer garden and the recently opened Merwin's Wharf.
