A Community Meeting for Pull!

When: Wed., Sept. 19, 6:30-8:30 p.m. 2012

Next June, in partnership with SPACES, performance artist William Pope.L will ask the people of Cleveland to manually pull an 8-ton truck across the city for 72 hours straight. During the pull, images gathered from Clevelanders about the work they do everyday will be projected out the truck's back doorway for all to see. Pull! is a show of strength that can only happen if thousands of people across Cleveland team together in an act of shared commitment. The artwork is a living reminder there is no shame in hard work (especially when we do it together), and a chance to stir up a city-wide conversation about work. Want to learn more about this ambitious community art piece and how you can get involved? Join Pope.L at a community meeting about Pull! at Pilgrim Congregational Church on Wednesday, September 19. Pull! will take place on June 7 to 10 of 2013, as part of the 25th anniversary of the Cleveland Performance Art Festival.
