A Poem is a Naked Person

When: Sat., Sept. 5 2015

An icon in the rock world, singer-songwriter Leon Russell finally got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in 2011. A documentary shot between 1972 and 1974, A Poem is a Naked Person features live performances, rehearsals and interviews. Never released because of differences between Russell and director Les Blank, the film is, as Hollywood Reporter puts it, "a time capsule capturing the flavor of early '70s bohemian life." It screens at 6:45 p.m. today and at 8:15 p.m. tomorrow at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
