Throughout the summer, local artist Darius Steward has been busy working on a new series of prints as one of Zygote Press’ artists-in-residence. Steward was a recipient of one of this year’s prestigious Creative Workforce Fellowships from the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture and Cuyahoga Arts and Culture. Steward received his MFA from the University of Delaware and his BFA in Drawing and Painting from the Cleveland Institute of Art. His work has been exhibited at the Cleveland Clinic, Maria Neil Art Project, the former William Busta Gallery and more. By day, he teaches at Saint Ignatius High School. Steward’s AIR Exhibition opens with a reception at Zygote Press from 6 to 8 tonight. Later this fall, Steward will discuss his new work and process at Zygote during an artist talk from 1 to 3 p.m. on Oct. 15. The exhibition remains on view through Oct. 29. Free. (Usmani)
