Amanda Anne Platt & The Honeycutters

When: Fri., June 16 2017

On their new self-titled album, Amanda Anne Platt & the Honeycutters draw from old-school country, rock and folk. Platt has said the songs are "about life and all that that entails, including but not limited to death, strangers, birthdays, money, leaving, arriving, seasons, corruption, and love." Tracks such as "What We've Got" show off her full-bodied voice and benefit from some subtle pedal steel guitar. The band performs tonight at 8 at G.A.R. Hall in Peninsula. Tickets are $22. (Niesel)
