An Opening Reception

When: Fri., Jan. 8 2016

From 7 to 9 tonight, BAYarts, located on the Cleveland Metroparks’ Huntington Reservation, hosts an opening reception in celebration to its latest two exhibitions. Denise Stewart and Pat Pitingolo’s T42, 24T utilizes that which is overlooked and thrown away to give viewers a renewed appreciation for the beauty all around us. Both artists utilized stained tea fiber, as well as remnants of deconstructed tea bags, bridging fine art and textile. Eliza Wing’s Memory Serves includes oil paintings and three-dimensional box constructions inspired by summer vacations on Monhegan Island; a longtime destination for artists, as well as a lifelong love of Maine.
