At today's first-ever University Park Art Fair, dozens of regional artists gather in downtown Akron to display and sell their work. Painters, sculptors, and photographers exhibit gallery-worthy pieces, while furniture-, jewelry-, and glass-makers offer more functional items. Craftsmen will also offer various hands-on workshops. Visitors get in on the action too, doodling, scribbling, or adding some sort of personal touch to a large-scale community art project on the grounds. Live music, food, and drinks keep the atmosphere festive.
Sat., Aug. 19, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
