Stand-up comic Steve Byrne says he found his funny bone after his family moved to Pittsburgh when he was in junior high. "I was small and had bad teeth," he recalls. "I looked like Mowgli from The Jungle Book. So, I started goofing off to get attention." Byrne's dad is Irish, his mom is Korean, and his own ethnicity confuses the hell out of folks, he says. "People ask, ‘Where you from?' I tell them Pittsburgh. They're like, ‘Pittsburgh. Right. Where you from?' Like I'm from some mutant island south of the Philippines, the island of Half-Asia."
