Fargo

Here's your chance to see one of the best movies of the '90s on the big screen. The Coen Brothers' classic about a kidnapping that goes horribly wrong gets better each time you see it (trust us — we've seen it a dozen times). The movie follows a special 7:30 p.m. program, "The Art of Motion Picture Storyboarding," presented by the Coen Brothers' longtime storyboarder, J. Todd Anderson, in which the man partly responsible for Fargo's look discusses his craft. Admission price to this event includes the Fargo screening. Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque. At 9:30 p.m. Friday, October 8.

Bamako

The capital of Mali is the setting of this African movie about a mock trial involving the World Bank. Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque. At 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 6.

Dogtooth

Black comedy about three siblings who grew up sheltered from the outside world. But now that they've reached young adulthood, some things are starting to enter their minds — like sex. Ewww ... Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque. At 8:45 p.m. Thursday, October 7; 9:40 p.m. Saturday, October 9; and 6:30 p.m. Sunday, October 10.

It's Kind of a Funny Story

Zach Galifianakis stars in a movie about a depressed kid who checks himself in to a psych ward. It's a comedy. Sort of. Opens Friday at the Cedar Lee Theatre.

Let It Rain

Comedy about a feminist politician who returns to her childhood home, where she's interviewed for a documentary. It's French, so we'll assume it's a farce. Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque. At 6:45 p.m. Thursday, October 7; 7:40 p.m. Saturday, October 9; and 4:15 p.m. Sunday, October 10.

Pandora and the Flying Dutchman

Restored version of the 1951 fable starring James Mason as a 17th-century sailor behind the wheel of a ghost ship. Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque. At 5:15 p.m. Saturday, October 9, and 8:25 p.m. Sunday, October 10.

Summer in Genoa

After Mom dies, a college professor and his two teenage daughters move to Italy, where sex and ghosts are waiting. Cleveland Museum of Art Morley Lecture Hall. At 7 p.m. Friday, October 8, and 1:30 p.m. Sunday, October 10.
