Attack Cat/Thaddeus A. Greene/My Cardboard Spaceship Adventure

When: Fri., Oct. 5, 8 p.m. 2012

Friends since they met at Malone College, a Canton Christian liberal arts college, singer Rachel Hoskins and drummer Dave Douglas formed Attack Cat in 2008, shortly after Douglas decided to step away from the popular indie rock act Relient K. Attack Cat was initially a five-piece when it released 2009’s When the Moon was Big, but it downsized to a duo for 2011's Dandy Outlaws, a collection of crisp indie pop songs that pair up the duo’s surprisingly compatible voices. Pittsburgh-based pop-punk act My Cardboard Spaceship Adventure just recorded its melodic single “Farewell” at Douglas’ studio; the group joins Attack Cat on tonight’s bill. (Niesel)
