Aural Pleasure

When: Mon., Nov. 11 2013

Influenced by old Italian horror movies, Peter Strickland's Berberian Sound Studio tells the story of a British foley artist (Toby Jones) who starts to lose his mind after his life begins to mirror the movie he's working on. The arthouse flick had only a short local run when it opened here earlier this year, but the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque screens it tonight at 7 as a salute to Tom Peterson, the former owner of the Cleveland-based sound studio Motion Picture Sound, Inc. Peterson purchased the HD projector that the Cinematheque will use to screen the film. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
