Rock & Pop

When: Fri., Sept. 26 2014

Nelson Ledges Quarry Park started the warm-weather season with two nights of Badfish and they’ll put the summer to bed with the very same this weekend. “Keep Sublime Alive,” the guys in Badfish are known to say. And they’ve been doing just that for years now, performing full sets of Sublime classics in cities around the world. This weekend, they’ll play two nights of the good stuff at Nelson, which means those of you who dig the music festival scene and the sensational sounds of Sublime are getting one last shot at glory. Badfish tours constantly — and their shows are always incredibly fun — but dropping them in forested quarry environs and letting them do their thing over the course of a weekend just amplifies the excitement. Shrub, Tropidelic, Color Wheel and Drunken Sunday round out the weekend bill. (Eric Sandy)
