A tribute to the Kokoon Arts Club parties of the early 20th century, Bal Ingénieux, which takes place tonight at the Tenk Building, serves as a fundraiser for Ingenuity, the annual arts festival that takes place in September. The aerial artist group Sokol Aerial Circus will be on hand as will a variety of vendors including Soulcraft Woodshop, Storehouse Tea, Six Shooter Coffee, Tidal Cool and Clara Manfredi. There will be raffles, a silent auction and a costume contest. The Ernie Krivda Quartet, a local jazz group, will perform along with Angie Haze Project, Lost State of Franklin, Michelle Gaw and Bakers Basement. Locally based DJ P Stoops will main the turntables at the end of the night. Guests are encouraged to come in costume - although it’s not required. Tickets are available at two levels. VIPs ($150) gain access at 6 p.m. and receive complimentary valet parking, dinner, an open bar and exclusive entertainment. Patrons ($35) gain access at 9 p.m. and receive a drink ticket as well as a dessert buffet. Tickets to the event are available at bal2016.eventbrite.com.
