There's a walking trail in the front yard of St. John West Shore Hospital that meanders underneath graceful trees and ends at a pond that a family of mallards calls home. One weekend each July, hundreds of white tents are raised along this shaded footpath, so that professional artists can display and sell their creations at a free-to-the-public arts festival. Browsers stroll from tent to tent, admiring watercolor portraits, handwoven baskets, and other pieces whose appeal is enhanced by the natural beauty of their surroundings. Are there other art festivals with as many talented artists as this one? Sure. Are there other art festivals in a setting so beautiful that you'll feel as if you're on a mini-vacation? No way.
