There could be more Chinese buffets in Northeast Ohio than in China, which makes it very difficult to find the best. And, from the outside, the Evergreen Buffet in Kent is not that spectacular (it's located in a small plaza, next to a Great Clips salon). But try to beat the prices: $5.75 for lunch, $8.75 for dinner. For struggling Kent State communications majors with no steady job, the Evergreen Buffet is heaven. It's no-frills in a good way. No risk of bad sushi, because there isn't any. And there's none of that weird stuff like octopus you see on some of the larger buffets. Mostly, it's staples like orange chicken and beef with broccoli. It's the best place to begin a KSU bar crawl.
