Piles of salty, scrumptious corned beef have been stacked at this Cleveland institution for 50 years and there really is no other deli that comes close to matching Slyman's perennial dominance on the sandwich front. It takes nothing more than a couple slices of rye bread and maybe some yellow mustard to enjoy their corned beef (why gild the lily?) and Clevelanders pack the humble dining room wanting nothing more than that simple delight. If you've had your fill of the corned beef (unlikely but possible), enjoy the full slab of other traditional deli offerings like pastrami, turkey, tuna salad and roast beef. But we all know what keeps Cleveland coming back week after week, year after year.
